Student Counsel's Office

Student Counsel Office is made up of four staff members who have at least one semester of experience on the Judicial Board Hearing Panel. The Student Counsel Office is responsible for meeting with and preparing accused students prior to a Judicial Board hearing by reviewing procedures and answering any questions regarding accused student testimony, but does not speak in place of the accused student. A member of the Student Counsel staff attends hearings with accused students and guides students through the Judicial Board proceedings, encourages students to be truthful, and assists students in understanding why the University is concerned with the alleged conduct violation(s) and potential sanctioning outcomes for the alleged violation(s).

The Student Counsel staff member is responsible for speaking with the student at the conclusion of the Judicial Board hearing to answer any questions regarding sanctioning and deadlines, if applicable.
