Dean Meeting InstructionsSenate Every senator must meet with the dean of his or her college. The senate will allow senators to meet with the chair of their department if the dean of their college is verifiably unavailable. Instructions for Meeting with Dean/Chair of Department: 1. Find our who your dean/chair is, a list of deans is avaliable below,
2. Get with other senators in your college and find a collective time when you can all meet with your dean and set up your appointment. 3. Formulate an agenda with well thouht out, relevant topics to discuss with the dean of your college. This may consist of questions or concerns which can be personal, professional, or pertaining to SGA business. 3. Get a copy of the Proof of Meeting Form. You can print a copy from the website or get a copy from the brochure-holder on top of SGA mailboxes in the SGA complex. 5. Meet with your dean/chair at the time you have agreed on and have them sign the Proof of Meeting form. From the Senate By-Laws: Article II, Section 5 Line 252 Each Senator must meet with the dean of his or her respective college at least once per semester. Reports of these meetings shall be submitted to the Chair for Academic Affairs in the Senate. The consequences for failing to hold and report on such a meeting by the 3rd Tuesday of November and the 3rd Tuesday in March, will result in the loss of voting privileges until a report has been submitted. 1/31/2008 |
